Most people own more than enough clothes and still stand in front of the closet at 7am with no idea what to wear. The problem was never the wardrobe. It is that combining what you own, against a forecast, before coffee, is real work — and it lands on you every single morning.
What we decided
One outfit, not a feed. Iris gives you a single complete look each morning. A gallery of two hundred possibilities is the same problem you started with, dressed up as a feature.
Your clothes, not a catalogue. Every look is built from garments you already own. Iris is not a shop, takes no affiliate money, and will never tell you that the answer to this morning is a purchase.
An opinion, not a compliment. She says why a look works in one dry line, and she will tell you when a plan is wrong. Advice that only ever agrees with you is not advice.
Your photos stay yours. They build your closet and do nothing else. They are not sold, not shared, and not used to target advertising. Deleting your account deletes them.
How it is built
Iris is a small independent product, not a venture-funded platform. It is an iPhone app talking to one server, in eight languages, with no advertising business attached to it and no third-party trackers in the app.
The catalog shots and outfit images are generated — drawn from the photos you take of your own garments, so that a bad picture of a real jacket becomes a clean image of that same jacket. The app says so plainly wherever those images appear. Generation costs real money per image, which is why there is a subscription and not an advertising feed.
Who is behind it
Iris is made by an independent studio of a few people who were tired of their own mornings. We answer our own support mail: write to support@irisdaily.com and a person reads it.
