Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Iris app and service (“Iris”, “we”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them and to Apple’s standard App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use Iris.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Iris on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. Everything in the app that is not your content — the software, design, seed looks and Iris’s writing — belongs to us or our licensors.
Your content
Photos and text you add remain yours. You give us the rights needed to store, process, analyse and render them for you, including sending them to the AI provider described in the Privacy Policy. You may only upload photos you took or have the right to use, of your own clothes, and you must not upload photos of other people without their permission.
Acceptable use
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- One person per account; keep your password to yourself and tell us if it leaks.
- Do not use Iris for anything unlawful, do not upload unlawful or abusive images, and do not try to generate images of people who have not consented.
- Do not scrape, probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service or its API, and do not create accounts by automated means.
- Do not resell or share access to a paid plan beyond what couple mode provides.
AI output
Catalog shots, rendered looks and pair renders are AI-generated illustrations, not photographs of the garments as worn. Fit, colour, length, texture and details may differ from the real item and from person to person. Styling notes, the outfit judge, packing lists and weather lines are automated suggestions, not professional advice, and forecasts come from a third party. Check the mirror before an important day.
Plans, credits and purchases
- The free tier holds a limited closet and a small starting balance of credits; rendering a look spends credits (more for a render on your own body).
- Subscriptions and credit packs are sold by Apple through the App Store at the price shown there. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
- A plan’s monthly allowance of looks resets each period and does not carry over. Purchased credits do not expire while the account exists. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
- The one-time free trial lasts seven days, once per account, and falls back to the free tier when it ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
Couple mode
Pairing is by mutual consent. While paired, your partner can see your closet, your looks, what you wore and your daily-question answers as described in the Privacy Policy. Either of you can leave at any time; leaving ends that visibility going forward.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from You → Delete my account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service or creates risk for other users, and we may retire features or the service itself with reasonable notice where possible. Deletion or closure ends any remaining plan period without refund from us; Apple’s refund rules still apply.
Disclaimer and liability
Iris is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about accuracy, availability or fitness for a purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for more than the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top changes when we do, and continued use after that means you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the law of the place where the operator of Iris is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
